Eliza is an angel sent to earth to help a widowed father, his six-year-old daughter and terminally ill mother.  The assignment is to help this family, and she will be able to be reunited with her own parents in Heaven.  There is just one thing...

The Big Guy Upstairs makes it clear that romance is out of the question, and Eliza has no problem with that stipulation...that is until she meets Jason, Angel, and Vera.  As Eliza falls more in love with Jason and his family, she becomes torn as the time she has left dwindles, and the prospect of seeing her family again seems farther in the distance than it had before Jason.

What's an angel in love to do?

  • "All right, I am going to admit right now that this is an absolute tearjerker of a tale; it is also the best story I have read of this kind ever.  A heartwarming, heart wrenching and, at the same time, heartfelt tale of mixed emotion.  I highly recommend this book to anyone.  It is a very inspired and enriching tale of love and support...the book is riveting from the first page to the last with unexpected delights in between, showing us we can face what life throws at us, even death, and be okay after all.  This will leave you wondering if there really are angels among us and that our prayers to God might be answered after all, just not the way you expected."  5 Cup Review ~Lainey, Coffee Time Romance
  • "One word for Kelly McDonough's work is WOW.  This author wrote a wonderful paranormal romance that truthfully made this reviewer cry.  It's so touching and heart felt that any reader would love it.  I fell in love with Eliza for even though she's an angel, she is a woman with needs--one of them being love.  I empathized with Eliza's pain of losing her parents and the hope of seeing them again, but the thought of losing Jason is heartbreaking.  Now Jason is another character I fell in love with for here is a man who is going through a hard time.  He has a little girl to think of but the thought of losing his mother can make even a grown man cry.  This book is highly recommended for this reviewer has never read such a heartwarming and touching romance as in this book.  Great job Kelly McDonough for creating a romance that shows the true meaning of love and bringing happiness to one family."  5 Angel Review "Recommended Read" ~ Leana C., Fallen Angel
  • "Wow! Ms. McDonough has written an absolutely marvelous enchanting holiday tale that bears reading year-round.  This reviewer alternately laughed and cried during the reading of this tale and was on tenterhooks trying to figure out just how Ms. McDonough would resolve the conflict presented at the very beginning of the story.  Not to worry, though, because the ending was even more satisfying than this reviewer had hoped for.  Ms. McDonough has endered her story telling including heavenly visitors most plausible without being sanctimonious or cloying.  This story is sweet but has enough spice in it to liven it up.  The surprising revelations that come throughout the story make it enthralling as well.  Even non-believers may find themselves wondering if these heavenly beings truly exist because Ms. McDonough's storyline is so realistic in its rendition.  Jason was an extremely sympathetic character and many readers will find themselves wanting to extend the comfort this wonderful man is in need of.  Bravo, Ms. McDonough, Bravo!"  Highly recommended! 5 Heart Review ~Leah, Love Romances
